About Cross Culture Pavilion Workshops |
A Water Town In China |
The mission of the Cross Culture Pavilion is to build bridges between cultures, businesses, and people. At the Cross Culture Pavilion, we view the achievement of harmony and cultural understanding as an essential component of organizational strategy and a key enabler of business and individual growth. Learning about other cultures and ways of life is extremely important in today's world,. One goal of workshops at the Cross Culture Pavilion is to make learning about culture and individual well-being both interesting and fun. For example, if you look at something as common as chopsticks in China, did you know that the history of the chopstick now extends over more than one thousand years? Do you know why Chinese and other Asian peoples use chopsticks, or the findings of research into the benefits of chopsticks? The rich culture behind this simple pair of sticks, illustrated with some fascinating stories, will make you think, "I did not know that, but I would like to know more." One needn't adopt other cultures and ways of living in order to understand and appreciate them. Having learned about other cultures, including their ways of thinking, philosophies, and theories, you may decide that you feel affinity with some but not with others. You do not necessarily need to adopt a different way of doing things, but having learned the "Why" and the "How," you begin to understand the perspective of other people. At the Cross Culture Pavilion, we teach workshops that make learning about other cultures interesting, practical and useful. |
